Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Tata Communications announced on Tuesday they are expanding their partnership to enhance connected vehicle technologies. Under this strengthened collaboration, JLR will integrate Tata Communications' MOVE platform into its connected car ecosystem, aiming to transform the driving experience globally.
The partnership will enable JLR's next-generation software-defined vehicles to maintain continuous connectivity and access intelligent services across 120 countries, even in remote locations. This expansion builds upon their existing relationship and supports JLR's ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
JLR's upcoming medium-sized SUVs, which will be built on their new electric modular architecture, will utilize the MOVE platform to seamlessly switch between mobile networks and operators. This will ensure uninterrupted access to personalized connected services, including media streaming.
Additionally, the platform will enhance secure data exchange between JLR and its customers' vehicles, facilitating more efficient Software Over-the-air updates and supporting the implementation of evolving Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.
